ONLINE PUBLIC ACCESS
CATALOG (OPAC)
In 1998 KPTMKL has begun to computerize
its library system by installing the Integrated Library Management
Utility [ILMU] which has provided an Online Public Access Catalog
[OPAC] among other features presented. The ILMU system is maintained
by the KPTM IT Unit. Through OPAC patrons are able to get to the
listing of the library holdings which includes books, bound periodicals,
and media collection. Two PCs are dedicated to usage and access
into the system. Patrons are advised to register with the Library
to activate their accounts.
The ILMU Operational Guide which is available
at the online catalog terminals provides you with the instructions on how
to conduct search. Below are some of the accessible features in
ILMU:
