LIBRARY OF CONGRESS CLASSIFICATION SCHEME 


The Library adopts the Library of Congress [LC] system in the organization of  its materials.  Within the LC, information is categorized  into main and sub classes using alphanumeric codes. These codes are printed on the spines of the books, and commonly known as call numbers.  Here is an example of a call number indicating subject matter :
